The 2Blades Foundation, the Foundation for Food and Agriculture Research (FFAR), and the University of California, Berkeley have entered into a research collaboration regarding advanced gene editing tools aimed at combating diseases in wheat. A total of $3.2 million has been granted to UC Berkeley in order to support the program. The outputs of the program will be advanced through the 2Blades Foundation's wheat rusts consortium to ensure delivery of rust-resistant wheat.
