AgBiome and Tropical Melhoramento e Genética (TMG) have announced a global R&D collaboration which will focus on the discovery and development of traits with novel modes of action to combat cotton boll weevil (Anthonomus grandis). The collaboration will combine AgBiome’s Genesis platform with TMG’s proprietary germplasm and Cotton Improvement Program to develop a genetic solution to control cotton boll weevil, a prevalent cotton pest in countries such as Brazil, for worldwide growers.
