The Dutch biotechnology company Annogen has entered into a collaboration agreement with a Tier 1 agricultural company to test non-coding DNA fragments that are predicted to have an effect on the expression of important crop traits. The results are expected to open new opportunities to intentionally upregulate or downregulate the expression of important genes in crops. Annogen entered into a similar agreement with another Tier 1 agricultural company in March 2021 (see AgbioNews Mar 18, 2021).
