Authorities in Argentina have approved the commercialisation of Bayer’s glyphosate tolerant and insect resistant MON87427 x MON89034 x MIR162 x NK603 genetically modified maize and its different sub-combinations. This combination of genes is similar to that of Genuity VT Double Pro (MON87427 x MON89034 x NK603) but with the addition of MIR162. MIR162 was developed by Syngenta and is the gene utilised in its Viptera product family.
