The Australian Department of Health has approved the commercial release of BASF's genetically modified (GM) canola containing the genetic events MS11 × RF3 or MS11 × RF3 × MON 88302. MS11 x RF3 provides tolerance to the herbicide glufosinate, while MS11 × RF3 × MON 88302 provides tolerance to the herbicides glyphosate and glufosinate.
