BASF has announced its new herbicide tolerant trait stack in US cotton, Axant Flex. Cotton varieties with Axant Flex technology will possess tolerance to HPPD inhibitor herbicides, as well as glyphosate, glufosinate and dicamba. Axant Flex cotton is expected to be partnered with the HPPD inhibitor herbicide Alite 27 (isoxaflutole). BASF plans to bring the Axant Flex technology to market in select FiberMax and Stoneville cottonseed varieties for the 2023 growing season, pending regulatory approvals.
