BASF Seeks Australia and New Zealand Approval for GMB151 Soybean
APRIL 17, 2020
BASF has submitted an application to Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) for the approval of its herbicide tolerant and nematode resistant soybean event GMB151. The GMB151 event confers resistance to soybean cyst nematode and Pratylenchus through the Bacillus thuringiensis Cry14Ab-1 protein, and provides HPPD-inhibitor herbicide tolerance through a modified 4-hydroxyphenylpyruvate dioxygenase (HPPD-4), derived from Pseudomonas fluorescens. The period for public comment on the application will close on June 9th, 2020.
