BASF has expanded its Xitavo soybean seed brand portfolio with the addition of 10 new Enlist E3 soybean varieties in the US for the 2023 growing season. Xitavo soybean seed will be available in 39 varieties covering relative maturities 0.1 to 4.7. The new varieties feature the Enlist E3 triple-stack herbicide tolerance trait providing tolerance to 2,4-D, glyphosate and glufosinate. The introduction of the new varieties expands on BASF's release of 14 new varieties last year (see AgbioNews Sep 15, 2021). In 2020, BASF entered into an agreement with MS Technologies to become the exclusive distributor of Xitavo soybeans in the USA (AgbioNews Aug 28, 2020).
