Bayer and Pairwise Reach Collaboration Milestones

NOVEMBER 25, 2019

The US-based genomics company Pairwise has announced the early completion of development milestones in its collaboration with Bayer. The collaboration, which was originally established between Pairwise and Monsanto in 2018 (see AgbioNews Mar 20, 2018), is focused on the development of solutions for maize, soybeans, wheat, canola and cotton, using gene editing. The early completion of these milestones has reportedly enabled Pairwise to accelerate its trait pipeline, which has the capacity to initiate nearly 400 unique constructs per year aimed at important commercial targets.
