The European Commission has authorised Bayer’s XtendFlex soybean technology for food, feed, import and processing in the European Union, representing the final key authorisation for XtendFlex soybeans. With this approval, Bayer expects a full launch of XtendFlex soybeans in the US and Canada in 2021. Soybeans containing the XtendFlex trait contain genes that confer tolerance to the herbicides glyphosate, glufosinate, and dicamba.
