Brazil’s Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food Supply has granted Bioceres import approval for wheat flour derived from its HB4 wheat for food and feed use. Bioceres’ drought-tolerant HB4 wheat was approved for cultivation in Argentina in October 2020 (see AgbioNews Oct 8, 2020) and is currently being cultivated on approximately 55,000 hectares. Brazil is the primary importer of Argentinian wheat.
