Bioceres has received a positive review from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for its genetically modified drought tolerant HB4 wheat. The FDA concluded that it had no further questions regarding the safety of HB4 wheat, and that it found no issues that would require premarket review or approval by FDA, advancing HB4 wheat closer to commercialisation. The HB4 wheat is still be subject to approval from the USDA before it can be brought to market. HB4 wheat has so far received cultivation approval in Brazil and Argentina
