JUNE 29, 2020

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China (MARA) has granted import approval for  Bayer’s Intacta 2 Xtend soybeans for use in food and feed. The approval allows the commercialisation of the technology in Brazil for the 2021/22 season, with China representing the largest importer of Brazilian soybeans. Intacta 2 Xtend soybean varieties, which provide resistance to select insect pests as well as tolerance to the herbicides dicamba and glyphosate, were approved for cultivation in Brazil in 2018 (see AgbioNews Mar 9, 2018).
