Cibus has announced that it has reached significant milestones in developing two new non-GMO traits for rice, which can reportedly confer tolerance to two separate classes of herbicides, increase crop yields and quality, and reduce environmental impacts. Field trials for these traits are planned in 2020. The company recently announced that it had reached important milestones in the development of three canola traits (see AgbioNews Nov 7, 2019).
