Corteva Signs MoU with Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences

Corteva Agriscience has announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS). The MoU outlines five key areas for partnership, created to support China’s farmers and agriculture development:
- Seed trait development – utilising both parties’ resources and expertise in creating new products.
- Rice resistant weed and insect management – developing effective and efficient solutions to target weeds and insects that are native to areas of rice cultivation in China.
- Corn insect control – exploring effective insect management methods that target insects in summer corn areas including the Yellow River and Huai Basin areas.
- Public education – targeting misinformation around agricultural technology through educational events, which will be focused on safe agrochemical usage and biotechnology.
- Skills development – offering scholarships, lectures and training to support current and next generation agricultural professionals and farmers.
