The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) has published its assessment of Bayer Crop Science's genetically modified (GM) trait NK603, which is undergoing renewal authorisation. NK603 confers glyphosate tolerance through the expression of cp4 epsps gene. The EFSA's GMO Panel has concluded that there is no evidence in the renewal dossier that shows evidence of new hazards, modified exposure, or scientific uncertainties that would change the conclusions of the original risk assessment.
