The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) has re-approved A5547-127 (LibertyLink) soybean for feed and food uses, excluding cultivation. LibertyLink soybean varieties possess tolerance to the herbicide glufosinate through the expression of the pat gene. The EFSA’s GMO Panel concluded that there is no evidence in the renewal application for new hazards, modified exposure, or scientific uncertainties that would change the conclusions of the original risk assessment.
