The European Food Safety Agency is to renew the authorisation of GM oilseed rape GT73 under the application EFSA-GMO-RX-026/1 from Bayer Crop Science. A review of data collected from post-market environmental monitoring reports found no evidence for new hazards, modified exposure or scientific uncertainties that would change the conclusions of the original risk assessment on oilseed rape GT73. The GT73 genetic event confers tolerance to the herbicide glyphosate.
