The Brazilian agricultural research company Embrapa and Benson Hill Biosystems, who first partnered in 2017 regarding the use of Benson Hill’s genome editing CRISPR nucleases, have extended their partnership. Under the new agreement, Embrapa will utilise Benson Hill’s CropOS development platform to breed improved crops including soybean, maize and sorghum. Embrapa will also provide its crop-related data to Benson Hill to allow the company to further improve CropOS.
