Evogene has entered into a partnership with the Brazilian plant improvement company Tropical Melhoramento & Genética to develop nematode resistance traits in soybeans using gene editing technologies. Under the partnership, Evogene will use its Computational Predictive Biology platform to identify necessary genome edits to impart resistance to nematodes, with these edits to be integrated into TMG's commercial germplasm. TMG will then validate trait efficacy in greenhouse and field trials throughout Brazil and eventually integrate this into its breeding programs.
