FuturaGene has entered into an exclusive collaboration with the synthetic biology company Intrexon through which both companies will work to increase biomass in eucalyptus and poplar trees. Through this collaboration, Intrexon’s platform technology and FuturaGene’s knowledge and expertise in yield enhancement will be utilised to create better quality eucalyptus and poplar trees, both important plants for the paper and pulp industry.
