Israel-based seed genetics company Kaiima and Mexican bio-products company BioFields have announced the establishment of a Mexican joint venture, BioKaiima. The joint venture’s primary aim will be to develop, produce, and commercialise castor seed varieties and hybrids in Mexico. Through the integration of genetics, breeding and agricultural technology from both companies, BioKaiima will develop its novel breeding program in addition to supplying Mexican castor farmers with a new high-yield crop to produce premium renewable oil.
