Nigeria has officially approved for import the drought-resistant HB4 wheat that has been developed by the Argentinian company Bioceres. Having begun the review process earlier this month (see AgbioNews Jul 7, 2022), Nigeria becomes the latest country to approve the product, joining Australia, New Zealand and Brazil. The approval authorises the import of HB4 wheat for food, animal feed and milling used and is valid until July 2025.
