Origin Agritech has entered into a collaboration agreement with the Biotechnology Research Institute (BRI) of the Chinese Academy of Agriculture Sciences (CAAS). Through the terms of the agreement, Origin and the CAAS hope to accelerate the commercialisation process of double stacked maize products with insect resistance and glyphosate tolerance traits in China. This represents Origin's latest move aimed at brining GM maize traits to the market in China, following on from similar collaborations with other seed companies in the country (see AgbioNews Aug 27, 2018) and with BCTID (AgbioNews Jun 6, 2019)
