The Philippine Department of Agriculture, through the Philippine Rice Research Institute (PhilRice), has launched a pilot-scale deployment of vitamin A-infused Golden Rice (see AgbioNews Jul 23, 2021) in the Philippines following its varietal registration. The pilot program will initially distribute Golden Rice in seven targeted provinces.
