Renaissance BioScience, a Canadian company specialising in yeast engineering, has received a patent from the Mexican patent office for its proprietary yeast-based platform technology for the production and delivery of RNA. This represents the third patent Renaissance has received for this technology, following previous patents in China (see AgbioNews Oct 25, 2023) and Australia (AgbioNews Sep 5, 2025), with additional jurisdictions pending. The most commercially advanced application of the company’s RNA production and delivery system is a collection of RNAi-based biopesticides.
