The Texas-based hybrid rice seed company RiceTec has entered into a licencing agreement with Benson Hill Biosystems regarding the use of Benson Hill’s technologies as part of RiceTec’s rice R&D operations. Through the agreement, RiceTec will utilise Benson Hill’s advanced genomic tools to accelerate crop improvement. RiceTec recently entered onto an agreement to acquire the Indian rice assets of Ganga Kaveri Seeds (see AgbioNews Mar 6, 2019).
