Trigall Genetics has submitted an application to Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) seeking approval for sale and use of food derived from a new food produced using gene technology: wheat line IND-00412-7. This line has been genetically modified to be tolerant to drought, as well as possessing tolerance to the herbicide glufosinate through the expression of the HaHB4v and bar genes.
