Twist Bioscience and Ginkgo Bioworks have entered into a new supply agreement expanding the collaboration between the two organisations which was first established in 2017. The new four-year agreement includes an increased commitment by Ginkgo to purchase products from Twist, with the option to access significantly more synthesis capacity to meet Ginkgo’s anticipated growth. Twist Bioscience has developed a disruptive DNA synthesis platform to industrialise the engineering of biology, with this platform then being used to manufacture a broad range of synthetic DNA-based products, including synthetic genes, tools for next-generation sequencing (NGS) preparation, and antibody libraries for drug discovery and development.
