USDA APHIS Initiates Consultation on Bayer's MON 952575 Maize

The USDA's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) has invited public comment on a petition to deregulate Bayer's MON 95275 maize developed to resist feeding damage caused by corn rootworm (Diabrotica virgifera). MON 95275 possesses the insect resistance genes dvSnf7, mpp75Aa1.1 and vpb4Da2 (see AgbioInvestor GM Monitor) for the control of below ground insect pests.
