The USDA’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) has extended the deregulation status of Okanagan Speciality Fruits' (OSF) non-browning apple varieties to a variety designated PG451 Arctic Gala. APHIS previously deregulated this trait in three other OSF apple varieties, GD743 Arctic Golden, GS784 Arctic Granny and NF872 Arctic Fuji Apple. NSF872 Arctic apples are also approved for cultivation in Canada.
