Yield10 and J.R. Simplot in Potato Trait Research Agreement
Yield10 Bioscience has signed a three-year, non-exclusive research agreement with J.R. Simplot Company (JRS) to evaluate three novel yield traits in potato: C3003, C3004 and C4001. Through the agreement, JRS will conduct research using the three traits with the aim of improving crop performance and sustainability. Yield10 has reported that the traits have shown activities including good agronomic performance, increased photosynthesis, increased seed yield, and/or increased biomass production.
JRS is a privately held agribusiness firm based in Idaho, USA, that processes potatoes and a variety of fruits and vegetables globally, and is currently pursuing a variety of solutions in efforts to improve crop yields and identify more sustainable agriculture methods.
