Yield10 Bioscience has announced that its CRISPR genome-edited trait C3007 in canola plant lines, developed for increased oil content, has been designated as a non-regulated article under 7 CFR Part 340 regulations by the USDA’s Biotechnology Regulatory Services of the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS).  Confirmation of this regulatory status will enable Yield10 to conduct field tests of CRISPR genome-edited canola plants in the USA in the 2021 growing season.
