Bayer has launched four new maize hybrids in Brazil for the 2023/24 season containing the company’s VTPRO4 technology: AS1991PRO4 and AS1988PRO4, under the Agroeste brand; DKB358PRO4, under the Dekalb brand; and AG8650PRO4, under the Sementes Agroceres brand. Bayer’s VTPRO4 (MIR162 x MON 87411 x MON 87427 x MON 89034) provides control of lepidopteran and coleopteran insect pests, including corn leafhopper (Dalbulus maidis), and confers tolerance to the herbicide glyphosate.
