Centro de Tecnologia Canavieira (CTC), a Brazilian company focused on sugarcane variety development, has entered into a global R&D collaboration with the Israel-based agricultural biotechnology company PlantArcBio to discover new molecules and leverage technology to develop solutions for the control of sugarcane pests. The collaboration will utilise PlantArcBio’s expertise in gene discovery and biological components, and CTC's experience in sugarcane genetic technology to develop sugarcane varieties with resistance to key pests.
