DBN Receives Uruguay Approval for Three GM Soybean Traits
APRIL 3, 2025
China’s Beijing Dabeinong Technology Group (DBN) has received commercialisation approval in Uruguay for three genetically modified (GM) soybean transformation events:
- DBN9004 – confers tolerance to the herbicides glufosinate and glyphosate.
- DBN8002 – confers resistance to lepidopteran insect pests, including fall armyworm and beet armyworm, and tolerance to the herbicide glufosinate.
- DBN9004 x DBN8002 – confers resistance to lepidopteran insect pests and tolerance to the herbicides glufosinate and glyphosate.
All three transformation events have already received cultivation approval in Argentina, while Brazil has granted commercial authorisation to DBN9004 and DBN8002.
