INTA Introduces IMI HT Cotton Variety in Argentina

Argentina’s National Agricultural Technology Institute (INTA) has introduced a new herbicide-tolerant cotton variety, Arandú INTA BGRR-IMI, reportedly representing the first cotton variety in Argentina to confer tolerance to imidazolidinone herbicides. Arandú INTA BGRR-IMI also possesses resistance to select lepidopteran insects, tolerance to the herbicide glyphosate, resistance to foliar diseases such as Alternaria leaf spot and Ramularia leaf spot, and tolerance to water stress.
