The Brazilian company Produce has launched Nobre VIP3, a hybrid maize seed that possesses tolerance to the fungus Pythium aphanidermatum, a cause of stem rot, greater resistance to breakage and lodging, and improved nutrient absorption. The new hybrid features VIP3 technology, which offers protection against select lepidopteran insect pests, while also possessing glyphosate herbicide tolerance.
