Traitology, a North Carolina-based agricultural biotechnology company formed in 2022, has rebranded as The Traits Company. The company, founded with a $25 million investment from GDM (Grupo Don Mario) (see AgbioNews Dec 6, 2022), is focused on the development of traits for soybean, and has reportedly unparalleled access to GDM's soybean, maize and wheat germplasm. The rebranding is said to reflect the advances the company has made in the last two years, including the establishment of a new research facility, greenhouse and collaborations with field-testing centres.
