NRGene and Philoseed have announced the discovery of a unique region in the tomato genome essential for resistance to Tomato Brown Rugose Fruit Virus (ToBRFV), representing a key milestone in the development of ToBRFV resistant tomato varieties. The discovery is expected to facilitate the development of DNA markers and seeds to ToBRFV high resistance tomato varieties. NRGene is currently offering immediate access to the discovered genomic region and DNA markers, having signed commercial contracts with Israeli, European and US companies.
