The Pakistan Central Cotton Committee (PCCC) has announced national coordinated variety trials (NCVT) of 93 new cotton varieties, including 85 B.t. and 8 non-B.t. varieties, to assess their production capability and fibre qualities. The cotton will be cultivated in four provinces within Pakistan, with NCVTs considered one of the last stages of evaluation before any crop is approved for commercial cultivation.
