2Blades has entered into a collaboration with Computomics, a company focused on leveraging AI to enable an understanding of bioinformatics data and genomics, through which the companies have launched a pilot project to advance predictive Artificial Intelligence (AI) models that are intended to support the effectiveness and throughput of disease and pest-resistant trait discovery across crop species. Trained with data from 2Blades’ proprietary resistance gene discovery platform, NLRseek, the models will utilise Computomics’ proprietary machine learning technology, xSeedScore, in the analysis and characterisation of resistance genes across crops and pathogens.
