Argentina has approved the commercialisation of BASF’s herbicide-tolerant and nematode resistant soybean event GMB151. However, cultivation of GMB151 soybeans is prohibited in the country until Chinese import approval is obtained. The GMB151 event confers resistance to soybean cyst nematode and Pratylenchus through the Cry14Ab-1 protein and provides HPPD herbicide tolerance through a modified 4-hydroxyphenylpyruvate dioxygenase (HPPD-4) enzyme.
