BASF has obtained import approvals for its Axant Flex herbicide tolerance technology and Axant Flex TwinLink Plus insect control technologies, representing the final step required to support US planting of Axant Flex cotton varieties. Axant Flex possesses tolerance to the herbicides glyphosate, glufosinate, dicamba and isoxaflutole, although isoxaflutole use on Axant Flex TwinLink Plus cotton is awaiting approval by the US EPA. Axant Flex varieties are also stacked with native traits to protect against cotton pests, such as root-knot nematode, reniform nematode and bacterial leaf blight.
