Embrapa, through a partnership with Semeali Sementes, is to launch a transgenic maize hybrid, XB 3042 VTPRO2, with traits for insect resistance and glyphosate tolerance. The hybrid is intended for cultivation across Brazil and is reportedly suited for two crops in a single year.
