Bayer Crop Science has introduced Vyconic soybeans, a seed product that possesses tolerance to five herbicides: dicamba, glufosinate, mesotrione, 2,4-D and glyphosate. Vyconic soybeans adds two further herbicide tolerance traits, mesotrione and 2,4-D, to the company's previous generation of soybean traits, providing farmers with greater flexibility of weed control. Vyconic soybeans are scheduled for launch in the United States and Canada in time for the 2027 planting season, with Bayer to continue developing proprietary complimentary herbicide formulations ahead of commercialisation.
