Bayer has launched its Bollgard 3 XtendFlex cotton technology in Brazil for the 2024/25 season. Bollgard 3 XtendFlex provides resistance to select lepidopteran insect pests as well as tolerance to the herbicides glyphosate, glufosinate and dicamba. As part of the launch, Bayer's Deltapine cotton brand will introduce two Bollgard 3 XtendFlex cotton varieties in the country, DP2252B3XF and DP2297B3XF. Bayer received Brazilian cultivation approval for the technology in 2018 (see AgbioInvestor GM Monitor).
