Bayer has launched two new maize hybrids in Brazil for the 2025 season containing the company’s VTPRO4 technology: AS1877PRO4, under the Agroeste brand; and AG8450PRO4, under the Sementes Agroceres brand. Bayer’s VTPRO4 (MIR162 x MON 87411 x MON 87427 x MON 89034) provides control of lepidopteran and coleopteran insect pests, including corn leafhopper (Dalbulus maidis), and confers tolerance to the herbicide glyphosate.
