Bayer to Launch Intacta 5+ Soybean in Brazil
NOVEMBER 27, 2025
Bayer is to launch its Intacta 5+ soybean technology in Brazil for the 2027/28 season, pending regulatory approvals. The solution confers tolerance to the herbicides dicamba, glyphosate, mesotrione, glufosinate, and 2,4-D, reportedly representing the first trait offering tolerance to five herbicides in the country. Additionally, the technology confers insect resistance to nine species of caterpillars through the expression of the Cry2Ab2, Cry1A.105, Cry1Ac, Cry1A.2 and Cry1B.2 proteins. Bayer intends to initiate field trials for the soybeans in the near future.
