Bioceres Crop Solutions has commercially launched its genetically modified drought-tolerant HB4 wheat seeds in Argentina, with the technology now available to agricultural input retailers. In 2023 the company announced its intention to scale the technology through direct private deals with farmers and partnerships with seed multipliers in preparation for full commercialisation (see AgbioNews Mar 9, 2023). The company also received cultivation approval in Brazil in 2023 (AgbioNews Mar 6, 2023) and intends to commercially launch the technology in the country in the future.
